PitBull Rapist Headed Back to the Pokey

Sexual assault is no laughing matter at any point and now this story out of Muskegon County, Michigan comes to life. Jose Sanchez, of Muskegon County has been told he has a trial date set for January 4, 2011 to answer for his charge of Felony Sodomy of an Animal.

In August of 2010 Sanchez was arrested and jailed, where he remains today under a 50K bond in the Muskegon County Jail, when the assault was reported to local police. The matter originated when Sanchez reported to his Parole Officer for a routine visit and was questioned about the assault. Sanchez then admitted that he did sexually assault the pitbull so the officer had no other choice but to inform local police who subsequently arrived, questioned and upon confession arrested the registered sex offender.  The dog was taken to a local vet who confirmed thru testing that the dog had been sexually assaulted.

Sanchez now faces 15 years in prison if convicted of the original Felony charge. The Public Defender assigned to the case has stated that he will claim a Defense of Insanity as there are clearly some mental issues associated with the mindset of Mr. Sanchez. Sanchez is currently on parole for a 1998 conviction of a prior Sexual Assault of a Person Under 13 after being paroled January 14, 2009. So now after being out of prison for less than a year Sanchez will again be on trial for another sexual assault and looks to be headed back to his home away from home. THE POKEY!
